Welcome!

As you pass by an idea you want, you should beg for it. Borrow it. Or even steal it. This blog is all about things you will want to beg for, borrow, and/or steal! No worries! There is no penalty for stealing - Rather I'm excited to share my ideas! Many of these ideas and inspirations I've "stolen" from other places.

Beach Ball and Tennis Ball Activity - Reproductive Systems

Today in health we started our unit on the reproductive systems. Below is the activity that I use as an introduction. I pick 2 student volunteers to "act" out the two systems while the rest of the class tried to figure out what they represent. I usually select volunteers that can use a little embarassement. Needless to say the volunteers quickly return to their seat once they realize what they are representing :-)

Beach Ball and Tennis Ball Activity -

Activity:  This activity is fun and helps students understand the male and female reproductive system.  You have to be a little crazy and energetic to do it, but research will confirm that when we use metaphorical thinking students retain and understand the concept better.   You can add or delete what you are or are not comfortable with in this activity.  Have fun!
